Our Mission
Life has never felt busier. There’s always something to do, somewhere to be, something to think about and another notification waiting on your phone to be answered. Sometimes, you just need to step away from the noise.
To put your phone down, breathe in the fresh air and listen to the sounds around you. The rustling of leaves as the trees move in the wind, birdsong from somewhere in the branches and the crackle of a fire with nowhere else to be. To spend time with the people around you without the distractions and reconnect with the world.
This is where you’ll find us, Into the Wild.
“At Into the Wild, we believe in switching off and connecting with nature.”
There’s something about being outside that changes your perspective. Conversations happen differently when you’re walking through trees or sitting around a fire. Children play differently when they have the freedom to explore, follow their imaginations and turn the simplest things into an adventure.
The adventure begins before you even reach the woods. The walk to Into the Wild is a chance to leave the everyday behind, take a breath and start noticing what’s around you. By the time you arrive, you’re already a little closer to nature. And that’s the beauty of it. The journey isn’t just how you get here; it’s the beginning of the experience.
Without the noise of everyday life, you start noticing the little things. A squirrel jumping between branches, a lone bird flying overhead, the warmth of the sun on your face and the smell of wet earth after rain. Things that are always there, but are easy to miss when your mind is elsewhere.
At Into the Wild, we wanted to create somewhere people could escape the busyness of everyday life and reconnect with nature. A place where you can try something new, learn a skill, explore the woodland or simply sit around a fire and enjoy a bit of breathing space. Somewhere children can play freely, families can spend time together and adults can take a break from their usual routines.
For us, it’s about more than just getting people outdoors. It’s about helping people rediscover how good it feels to slow down, get involved and spend time in nature. To think, talk, laugh and remember what really matters.
Our mission is to create this feeling for everyone who visits Into the Wild.
Let children be children
We love seeing children given the freedom to explore. There's something brilliant about watching them disappear into the woods, come back covered in mud and proudly tell you about what they've found.
Being outdoors gives children the chance to try things for themselves, make decisions, work things out and help each other along the way. They can build confidence, develop new skills and discover what they're capable of, all while having fun.
With space to explore and the freedom to use their imaginations, even the simplest things can become an adventure. And sometimes, the best memories come from the moments that weren't planned at all.
Into the Wild isn’t just for children
We all get caught up in work, responsibilities and the general busyness of life. Sometimes, we forget how good it feels to be outside, without an agenda or somewhere else we need to be.
Into the Wild is for all ages, with family activities, adult events and live music nights throughout the year. During the week, while the children are at school, you can enjoy a woodland dog walk, grab a coffee from our self-serve station or find a quiet spot under the tipis to sit.
Explore the woodland, sit around the fire, enjoy a drink from our licensed bar at an event or simply get some fresh air. You don’t need a list of activities or an adventure planned.

We care about the woodland too…
Spending time in nature helps us appreciate the world around us. The more we notice the trees, learn about wildlife and understand the environment, the more connected we become to it.
We want people to leave Into the Wild with a little more appreciation for the natural world than they had when they arrived. Whether it's learning something new about the woodland or simply taking the time to notice what's around them, we hope those experiences stay with them long after they've left.
Because if we want people to care about nature, we believe one of the best places to start is by helping them experience it for themselves.
