Step Into the Wild…
Hidden away in the Cheshire woodland, just outside Altrincham, you’ll find a place to leave the screens behind, breathe in the fresh air and spend time together outside, surrounded by nature.
Getting here is part of the adventure, as Into the Wild is accessible on foot only. Follow one of our routes, from just 15 minutes, and as the noise of everyday life starts to disappear, the trees open up and you’ll find us.
There’s no brightly coloured indoor play centre waiting at the end. But rather, woodland to explore, things to climb, fires to build, skills to learn and plenty of space to run wild.
Whether you’re looking for thing to do with kids in Altrincham, an outdoor activity in Cheshire or simply ways to spend more screen-free time in nature, there’s always something happening at Into the Wild.
Wild Play, bushcraft, woodland walks, adult events, private gatherings and seasonal experiences, give plenty of reasons to get outdoors and step away from every day.

Parking at Bowdon Church School Grange road WA143EX on (Saturday and Sunday and School holidays parking closes at 5pm opens at 9) please see our website for walking routes.. for this route and many others should this be unavailable. If it is unavailable it will be clear on our website. And an alternative easy route will be given.
Please see our routes to see if accessible with pram. Most routes are much easier with a carrier..and is advised over a pram. however we have done most of them with a double pram.
On site coffee shack wood fired pizza and a fully licensed bar ..and so much more!
Picnics are welcome if you have booked the wild play area.
Into the wild opens at 9am and closes at 4.30pm All day ticket arrive at anytime within our opening times.
ALL BOOKINGS ARE NON REFUNDABLE UNLESS WE HAVE TO CLOSE DUE TO WHATEVER REASON THAT MAY BE (GENERALLY WEATHER WARNINGS).
BOTH CHILDREN AND ADULTS REQUIRE TICKETS UNLESS CHILD IS UNDER 2 YEARS.

We thought we'd do something a bit different this Halloween…
Horror films, in the woods, in the dark. 😂

🌲 Sat 24 Oct — THE CABIN IN THE WOODS (2011)
👻 Fri 30 Oct — THE BLAIR WITCH PROJECT (1999)
😈 Sat 31 Oct — EDEN LAKE — HALLOWEEN NIGHT (2008)
🌲 Arrive from 5.30pm head into the trees. We'll have the fire pits going, some background music (NON LIVE) and marshmallows on the fire included don’t worry if you cant get to us for 5.30 just get to us before the film starts.
🍕 Pizza and alcoholic/non-alcoholic drinks available to buy.
👻 We'll also have a few live scares as part of the evening. We're definitely not professional scare actors 😂 so it's all a bit of fun… although in a pitch-black woodland it should still be enough to warrant a change of underwear.
🎭 Fancy dress encouraged.
🎬 Film starts 7.30pm, with a bit of time afterwards for a strong one before heading home through the woods in the dark in heated Tipi.

Fire Lighting Workshop – Into the Wild
7TH NOV AND 21ST NOV
Both Children and Adults need a ticket!!
Join us in the woods for a hands-on 1.5-hour fire lighting workshop where we explore the basics of starting a fire the bushcraft way. Perfect for beginners and families, this session introduces simple woodland skills including tree and tinder identification, understanding natural materials, and learning how to safely light a fire using a ferro rod (fire steel).
Participants will discover which trees and plants make the best natural fire starters before practising creating their own sparks and building a small fire.
Suitable for ages 7+ only pay per child Parents must stay with child
Duration: 1.5 hour From 11am
Come as solely for this or bolt it on to your wild play adventure. Includes a mashmallow around the fire you hopefully create! Along with cordial.
This does not include the Wild Play Area
Please no dogs
